Siesta Blaseball

In July 2020, Blaseball took the Internet by storm, simulating a ongoing season of games among a league of surreally appealing teams. As it exploded in popularity, so did the servers that hosted it, leading to the game's first Siesta.

Rather than leave the fans without their constant drip of Blaseball, I created Siesta #Blaseball, which used a deck of cards and a handful of coins/tokens/peanuts to simulate a game. When players wanted more Blaseball flavor, I expanded it to create Advanced Siesta #Blaseball.

NOTES: The hashtag in the title is because the Blaseball community primarily communicated on Twitter in those days, before the official Discord opened. Similarly, the rules include a link to the official Patreon because it had just been launched by the Game Band to help cover the expanding server costs of the game. The only real oddities herein on top of the basic baseball-like game are burned players and peanuts because, back in those first weeks of the game, that was all the oddities really in play.
